Buxtehude’s ‘Membra Jesu nostri’ with Yale Choral Artists
This monumental work by organist and composer Dietrich Buxtehude (1637–1707) is a cycle of seven cantatas for chorus, soloists, and instruments. Drawn from medieval Latin verse and biblical texts, each cantata is a meditation about Jesus’s body on the cross.
